The Elderly Care Office is responsible for:

• differenttypes of housing;
• home-help;
• rehabilitation;
• aids;
• home nursing.                                                   

The Handicapped Care Office is responsible for:                                   

• LSS (Swedish Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) residences;
• daily activities;
• personal assistants; 
• supported housing for those with physical functional impairments.                  

The Individual and FamilyCare Office looks after:                             

• investigation and processing of maintenancesupport;
• investigation and treatment programmes for children, adults, and addictionsufferers; 
• issues related to family law, such as custody, housing, relations, paternity,and adoption;
• support for refugees.

The Social Services Committee assumes politicalresponsibility for activities in the municipality within the sphere of care andsupport.
